Corporate Accountant (AI)

Location: Fully remote; Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, United Kingdom, or United States.

Compensation: US$80–US$150 per hour. The description also mentions project-based rates of US$30–US$80 per hour and up to US$60 per hour depending on expertise and project requirements.

What you will do

• Create tasks involving journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, intercompany transactions, and month-end closing.
• Prepare reference solutions with accurate calculations, supporting schedules, and documented accounting treatment.
• Evaluate AI agents working with general ledgers, reconciled balances, discrepancies, adjustments, spreadsheets, accounting software, and financial records.
• Define scoring criteria covering accuracy, completeness, supporting documentation, and compliance with the specified accounting framework.
• Identify accounting errors, unsupported entries, and weaknesses in the audit trail.

Requirements

• Degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional expertise.
• At least 3 years of experience in corporate accounting.
• Strong understanding of the general ledger and closing processes.
• Strong understanding of IFRS or US GAAP.
• Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
• Experience with accounting or ERP software.
• Fluent English with strong written communication skills.

Nice to have

• CPA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification.
• Experience with multi-entity accounting or consolidation.
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle.
