Accountant (AI Automation)

Location: Remote across Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain, and the United Kingdom. Visa sponsorship is available for Germany; candidates in other countries must already have the right to work there.

What you will do

• Manage the end-to-end P2P process in Ramp, including invoice intake, coding, approvals, and biweekly AP payments.
• Improve AI-assisted coding, automation rules, exception handling, and accounting workflows using hirify.global and modern finance tools.
• Support expenses, reimbursements, corporate cards, and operational accounting questions.
• Own assigned OPEX, card spend, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Partner with FP&A on GL and cost-center coding, financial information, and month-end close.
• Maintain accounting records, validate AI-generated outputs, support audits, and help scale processes across a growing multi-entity business.

Requirements

• Practical GL and AP/P2P experience, with solid knowledge of journal entries, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, and reconciliations.
• Working knowledge of HGB or IFRS, invoice requirements, and VAT fundamentals, including knowing when to seek expert guidance.
• Confidence with spreadsheets and accounting systems, with strong attention to coding accuracy, data quality, and financial controls.
• Interest in experimenting with AI, building better workflows, and validating automated outputs.
• Ownership of daily operations, reliable follow-through, and proactive process improvement.
• Effective English communication and the ability to collaborate across teams and help colleagues solve operational challenges.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-native ERPs, Ramp or similar P2P platforms, Q2C tools, or workflow automation platforms such as hirify.global.
• Experience working across multiple entities, ideally in a global business with an expanding international footprint.
• Familiarity with SaaS business models, multi-currency accounting, AR, or revenue recognition.
• An audit background or relevant accounting qualifications.
• German language skills.
