Accounting Specialist

Location: Seattle, WA; remote-friendly culture and #LI-Remote.

What you will do

• Support accounts payable, including invoice entry, approval workflows, vendor payments, and accurate vendor records.
• Manage travel and expense processing in Navan, enforce expense policies, and reconcile related liability accounts.
• Upload bank statements, perform cash matching and bank reconciliations, and contribute to cash management and forecasting.
• Support month-end close through journal entries and account reconciliations for accounts payable and cash.
• Partner with Engineering, Sales, FP&A, and People Ops on expense classification and invoice processing.
• Assist with 1099 reporting, audits, compliance initiatives, internal controls, and accounting automation or system improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of general accounting experience, preferably in software or technology.
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Campfire, or Rillet, and procure-to-pay systems such as Bill.com or Ramp.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and core accounting principles.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and SUMIF, plus comfort with cloud-based financial tools.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, time management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with multi-entity or international operations.
• CPA certification or CPA-track status.
• Experience with financial automation or ERP optimization projects.
• SaaS experience and monthly balance sheet and income statement flux analysis experience.
• Experience with T&E systems such as Navan, Expensify, or Concur.
