Finance Operations Analyst

What you will do

• Prepare full-cycle balance sheet reconciliations across bank, accounts receivable, accounts payable, accruals, prepayments, GST, and intercompany accounts for the month-end close.
• Post general ledger journals, maintain supporting working papers, and investigate and resolve reconciling items and variances.
• Support external audits, mid-year reviews, statutory compliance requests, and tax deliverables.
• Review employee expense claims and corporate card transactions, reconcile card statements, and administer the expense management system.
• Prepare quarterly BAS workpapers and GST reconciliations, code tax journals, and provide schedules and data extracts for tax returns, provisions, advisor queries, and ATO requests.
• Identify recurring expense policy exceptions and recommend workflow or policy improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce or Accounting.
• 1–3 years of experience in a finance-operations role, ideally in a multi-entity or multi-currency environment.
• Working knowledge of a mid-market ERP or accounting system.
• Strong Excel or Sheets skills, including lookups, pivots, and reconciliations.
• High attention to detail.

Nice to have

• CA or CPA part-qualified.
• Exposure to SaaS.
• Experience with a cloud ERP or accounting system.
• Healthcare, medical device, or regulated-industry experience.
