Senior Business Systems Analyst – Unit4 ERP

Location: Remote US; occasional travel may be needed (10% or less).

What you will do

• Support post-go-live stabilization, ongoing enhancements, process improvements, and operational support for Unit4 ERP.
• Partner with Finance, Accounting, Project Accounting, Billing, Operations, IT, vendors, and business stakeholders to define needs and system requirements.
• Evaluate, design, configure, test, and deploy ERP changes with the Business Applications configuration team.
• Maintain and prioritize the Unit4 enhancement backlog based on business value, urgency, compliance needs, and team capacity.
• Support finance and business processes covering general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, billing, procurement, project accounting, time entry, approvals, reporting, and financial controls.
• Document requirements, functional specifications, process flows, user stories, acceptance criteria, test plans, support procedures, and configuration decisions.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Unit4 ERP is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 to 15+ years of experience in business systems analysis, ERP support, finance systems, business applications, accounting operations, or related roles.
• Experience supporting ERP or finance-related systems in a business or IT environment, including post-go-live or production support.
• Strong understanding of finance and accounting processes, including GL, AP, AR, billing, procurement, project accounting, time entry, approvals, reporting, and financial close.
• Ability to translate business needs into requirements, user stories, process flows, functional specifications, test plans, and configuration guidance.
• Experience with enhancements, production issues, testing, documentation, change management, and root-cause analysis.
• Ability to collaborate with Finance, business stakeholders, IT teams, vendors, and implementation partners and explain system concepts to non-technical users.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and prioritization skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with ERP implementations, post-go-live stabilization, system optimization, or finance transformation projects.
• Experience as a product owner, business process owner, finance systems analyst, or senior business analyst.
• Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, or similar tools for backlog, ticket, defect, and enhancement management.
• Experience with integrations, reporting, data validation, security roles, approval workflows, and ERP configuration.
• Familiarity with SaaS application administration, access management, audit controls, and IT change management.
• Experience in professional services, engineering, consulting, project-based, or multi-entity/multi-country environments.
• Experience mentoring junior analysts or helping business users understand system capabilities and process impacts.
