Senior Business Applications Engineer (NPI Automation)

Location: Hybrid in Tlaquepaque/Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico; office attendance required Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with remote work available Monday and Friday.

Salary: $53,350.00–$79,500.00 MXN monthly.

What you will do

• Own, analyze, and continuously optimize NPI Jira workflows to resolve operational defects, reduce process friction, and improve reliability and end-to-end traceability.
• Integrate Oracle, Salesforce, Power BI, and Jira data and status tracking so Jira workflows respond to real-time system states rather than manual entry.
• Build executive dashboards in Jira and Power BI covering project status, risks, item aging, blockers, and team throughput.
• Implement automated status transitions, field updates, notifications, SLA timers, and validation controls.
• Define performance metrics, monitor workflow health, and lead iterative improvements with NPI stakeholders.
• Drive change management through training, documentation, rollout planning, and stakeholder communications.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with Jira/Atlassian, including hands-on design and management of Jira workflows, issue types, permission schemes, custom screens, and automation rules.
• Experience integrating enterprise SaaS tools through APIs, webhooks, and ETL pipelines, including state and ID mapping.
• Experience with Power BI, executive dashboards, and Jira-native reporting tools.
• Experience translating complex NPI workflows into process maps, state transitions, and measurable definitions of “Done”.
• Solid experience implementing data validation controls.
• Advanced English skills.
