Product Manager - Engineering

What you will do

• Drive day-to-day product delivery across hirify.global OS, internal data systems, founder tools, and supporting integrations.
• Translate ambiguous stakeholder requests into scoped, documented plans with acceptance criteria, open questions, and tradeoffs.
• Manage the product lifecycle from intake and discovery through requirements, sprint management, launch coordination, and post-launch follow-up.
• Manage the Jira backlog, including sprint planning, refinement, prioritization, capacity coordination, and removing blockers.
• Lead change management as legacy systems are consolidated or retired, communicating tradeoffs and maintaining stakeholder alignment.
• Track feature usage and adoption, identify issues, and coordinate iteration with operations, program, and engineering teams.

Requirements

• 4+ years of product management experience in software, ideally across multiple internal tools or platforms rather than a single product.
• Ability to turn loosely defined problems or requests into documented, scoped plans that engineering teams can execute.
• Experience working directly with engineers, understanding technical tradeoffs, reading tickets, and challenging scope when needed.
• Strong change-management skills, including gaining stakeholder support for unrequested changes and managing difficult transitions.
• Excellent written communication; PRDs, tickets, and asynchronous updates must be clear without requiring meetings for explanation.
• Proficiency with Jira, agile or Scrum processes, sprint planning, capacity management, and release coordination.
• Ability to communicate with stakeholders ranging from executive leadership to program associates and build trust across levels.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams amid shifting priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
• Analytical ability to define success metrics, instrument features, and evaluate whether they worked.

Nice to have

• Experience in a startup accelerator, venture capital, or founder-services context.
• Power-user familiarity with Salesforce, Metabase, Jira, and Notion.
• Experience managing a product through a legacy migration or platform consolidation.
• Experience with data or operational systems that help non-technical teams use structured data.
• Experience working at or with a small, high-autonomy engineering team.
• Knowledge of financial or investment data in a VC or startup context.
