Technical Product Manager (AI)

Location: Hybrid, with 2 days onsite in McLean, Virginia; candidates must reside in or be willing to commute to the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

Salary: $110,000–$130,000 per year.

What you will do

• Own product vision, roadmap, backlog, priorities, and delivery for Solutions Development products.
• Act as the primary point of accountability for customer sponsors and lead demos, product reviews, and steering sessions.
• Translate stakeholder and delivery-team requirements into epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and traceable releases.
• Lead user discovery through interviews, process mapping, and time studies; define success metrics and report outcomes, risks, and decisions.
• Partner with engineering and UX teams in an agile cadence, making scope and trade-off decisions and coordinating customer change management.
• Shape responsible AI capabilities, validate enterprise integrations, and manage product risks, dependencies, and scope.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in product management, product ownership, or technical program management delivering software products.
• Experience managing backlogs and running agile ceremonies with tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or GitHub Projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including prioritization of competing needs using data and stakeholder input.
• Ability to write user stories with clear acceptance criteria and communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience presenting to and building relationships with senior stakeholders, such as CIOs, CISOs, and program leadership.
• Must currently reside in or be willing to commute to the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with federal cybersecurity and compliance, including NIST RMF, NIST SP 800-53, and FISMA.
• Experience managing teams in GRC, cybersecurity, or other enterprise software domains.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, AI/LLM products, and AI governance practices such as NIST AI RMF.
• Experience defining product metrics and dashboards, including Power BI, to track adoption and outcomes.
• CSPO, SAFe POPM, PMP, or similar certification.
• Government or defense experience in regulated environments, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
