Network Engineer

Location: Stamford, Connecticut, United States. Hybrid schedule requiring work from the office at least four days per week, with occasional travel for projects and remote event support.

Salary: $75,000–$95,000 per year.

What you will do

• Build, deploy, configure, and support reliable, scalable network infrastructure for broadcast and media production facilities.
• Configure and support Cisco, Arista, Palo Alto, and F5 networking and firewall technologies using vendor and internal automation and monitoring systems.
• Provide IP networking subject matter expertise and support critical escalated issues across hirify.global locations, including Stamford, Denver, Los Angeles, New York City, and Miami.
• Participate in an operational on-call rotation supporting 24x7 production on-air network infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and network diagrams.
• Travel occasionally for project work and remote event support.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience installing and configuring network technology from multiple vendors, including Cisco IOS, NX-OS and XR, Juniper, Palo Alto, and F5.
• Hands-on experience implementing firewall policies on Palo Alto Panorama and F5 through CLI and GUI.
• Availability to participate in an operational on-call rotation supporting 24x7 production on-air network infrastructure.
• Ability to develop and maintain technical documentation and diagrams.

Nice to have

• Understanding of Enterprise and Service Provider networking, including OSPF, IS-IS, vPC, port-channeling, 10/40/100G optics, IPSEC, QoS, VLAN, Multicast, MP-BGP, route reflection, MPLS, Traffic Engineering, L3VPN, and VRF.
• Ability to analyze network logs and other data sets to troubleshoot and isolate production and design problems.
• Experience with broadcast vendors and deploying their technology in IP networks for graphics, transcoding, playout, and master control.
• Experience deploying and supporting hybrid cloud environments in AWS and Azure, with emphasis on network interconnect and security.
• Experience with network automation and version control tools such as Ansible and Git.
