Network Engineer

Location: Orlando, Florida, US; remote within the US with travel. A hybrid work environment is possible, with occasional travel and potential on-site work at customer or supplier locations.

What you will do

• Design and implement self-healing networks and document network configurations and maintenance procedures.
• Troubleshoot routing, switching, multicast, RADIUS, SYSLOG, NTP, OSPF, and Auto-RP faults.
• Design and monitor network load balancing, route-cost patterns, and overall system health, recommending upgrades and reconfigurations.
• Harden networking infrastructure and resolve IAVA/STIG findings with appropriate documentation or justification for A&A personnel.
• Provide technical and operational support for telecommunications equipment, including on-site installation and operation.
• Conduct site surveys, collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and government stakeholders, and mentor IT personnel.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Must meet DoD 8570 IAT II requirements.
• Experience designing and implementing self-healing networks.
• Expert understanding of Cisco and/or Juniper technologies and networking protocols.
• Experience in cross-platform networking environments.
• Experience configuring workstations, servers, switches, and routers.
• Expert-level experience configuring and operating firewalls.
• DoD Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain a clearance.
