Shipping Manager (Biotech)

Location: Piscataway, New Jersey, United States; fully onsite.

Salary: $90,000–$100,000 per year, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Oversee the logistics strategy and operations covering inbound logistics, internal transfers, outbound shipping, and the full order cycle.
• Lead shipping automation, optimization, and process-improvement projects, including bottleneck identification and solution implementation.
• Coordinate purchase-order scheduling, carrier dispatch, order sorting, and delivery accuracy according to shipping method.
• Develop supply-chain policies, monitor KPIs, manage operational risks, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining quality and safety.
• Develop and oversee the operational budget to improve resource allocation, reduce costs, and enhance service.
• Build relationships with 3PL providers and internal stakeholders and serve as the shipping subject matter expert for life-science operations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Shipping or Logistics Manager, including team development experience.
• Demonstrated track record of logistics-team transformation and automation projects.
• Excellent analytical and presentation skills using MS Excel, Access, or Power BI.
• BA or MS degree in supply chain, logistics, or a related field.
• Critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Fluency in both English and Mandarin.
• Knowledge of CBP and PGA regulations.
• Regulatory certification or license such as CCS, Customs Broker License, or CES.
• APICS certification such as CSCP, CLTD, or CTSC.
