Senior Software Engineer (Frontend)

Location: Charlotte, United States; relocation to the Charlotte region is required. Hybrid work with in-person attendance two to three days per week at the Charlotte Tech Hub; meetings are primarily aligned with the Eastern time zone.

Salary: $95,100.00–$180,700.00 annually.

What you will do

• Translate complex business requirements and functional specifications into executable stories, designs, and maintainable code modules.
• Build stable application systems and enterprise software solutions with robust test suites and observability.
• Guide development teams in designing and building complex solutions aligned with architecture standards and strategies.
• Automate and simplify development, testing, and operations processes.
• Mentor engineers through onboarding documentation, root cause analyses, demos, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Evaluate modern software, tools, and technologies and provide objective recommendations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience where applicable.
• At least 5 years of experience in software development or a related field.
• At least 4 years of experience in frontend/UI/UX, middleware, database technologies, or DevOps.
• At least 4 years of experience implementing solutions through software development life cycles using iterative agile development.
• Ability to work in the Charlotte region and attend the Charlotte Tech Hub in person two to three days per week.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in computer science, CIS, or a related field.
• Four years of front-end engineering experience focused on React.js and Node.js.
• Four years of experience writing technical documentation, developing and implementing business systems, and working with source code control systems.
• Four years of experience with ITIL, defect or incident tracking software, web services, and application and integration middleware.
• Four years of systems analysis experience, including defining technical requirements and performing high-level design for complex solutions.
• Four years of experience with at least three of the following: CI/CD tools, frontend technologies, middleware, database technologies, and DevOps.
