General Manager, Greater Philadelphia

Location: Onsite in the Philadelphia area; daily attendance at the Philadelphia office is required, with weekly visits to local businesses. The office is expected to be in King of Prussia or West Chester.

What you will do

• Lead day-to-day operations of the Philadelphia market and oversee its P&L and growth-plan execution.
• Develop market-entry, growth, marketing, and go-to-market strategies.
• Drive business development, build target lists, cultivate strategic accounts and partnerships, and recruit business users through scalable CRM processes.
• Recruit, hire, coach, and develop the local team as the market grows.
• Resolve operational issues, collaborate with other market leaders, and support long-term company strategy.
• Provide product-market-fit feedback to product management and technology development, and support public events, interviews, and workshops.

Requirements

• Direct experience working in or advising logistics, supply chain, or manufacturing industries.
• Leadership experience involving direct teams or cross-functional projects, including responsibility for teams, projects, or organizations.
• Experience developing team capability through selection, hiring, coaching, and capacity planning.
• Demonstrated upward progression within the same company, such as promotion within one organization.
• At least 5 years of post-university workforce experience; 8 years of work experience is ideal.
• Evidence of results-oriented performance, including specific outcomes that exceeded goals, and mastery of a discipline or activity.
• Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to persuade using direct and plain language.
• Detail orientation and the ability to break down complex problems using data.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work in the Philadelphia office every day and visit local businesses each week, with business visits taking less than 25% of working time.
• Must not have worked at or studied processes of a FAANG or other Silicon Valley-based company.
