GM-in-Training (AI)

Location: Remote is listed, but the role requires working in the Palo Alto office five days a week for the first 6–12 months and until operating independently. Applicants must currently reside in AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, MA, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OR, TN, TX, UT, VA, or Ontario, Canada.

Base salary: $160,000–$200,000 USD in the San Francisco Bay Area, plus potential stock options.

What you will do

• Work directly with and receive mentorship from the cofounder and CEO.
• Identify and execute high-leverage business opportunities during a rapid growth phase.
• Work across product, growth, operations, finance, engineering, and data.
• Help scale new businesses including home insurance, property tax, motorcycle insurance, car repair shop bids, and roadside assistance.
• Develop the capabilities required to eventually own P&L for a business line.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in management consulting, venture capital, private equity, or a startup environment.
• Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
• Ability to work in person in the Palo Alto office alongside the CEO and executive team for the first 6–12 months and five days per week until operating independently.
• Constantly seeks to deepen knowledge, sharpen skills, and master chosen goals or crafts.
• Takes ownership of problems and acts to fix issues beyond the immediate area of responsibility.
• Demonstrates resilience, tenacity, and a bias for action.
