Associate, Abstraction Training (Oncology)

Location: New York, NY, US; hybrid role with work from home and 3 office days set by the employee and team.

What you will do

• Design, build, and implement training content for a remote clinical data abstraction workforce in collaboration with Clinical Quality, Clinical Data, and Clinical Abstraction teams.
• Identify abstraction training gaps and create targeted interventions, from comprehensive courses to just-in-time and workflow-based learning.
• Support internal Data Capabilities teams by identifying learning and performance gaps and delivering solutions that improve effectiveness and efficiency.
• Develop best practices for knowledge management, training, and process documentation.
• Explore AI-assisted tools and other emerging technologies to streamline content development and identify training opportunities.
• Improve Abstraction Training team workflows while collaborating with Clinical Data, Clinical Abstraction, Clinical Quality, Abstraction Operations, Research Oncology, and Foundry.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as an instructional designer developing training content, plus a portfolio or body of work for review.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience designing and implementing training programs for adult learners, including partnering with diverse Subject Matter Experts to identify learning needs and develop solutions.
• Knowledge of creative training techniques, accelerated learning, just-in-time and workflow-based training methods, Learning & Development best practices, and evaluation standards.
• Experience designing and delivering asynchronous learning solutions for remote workforces.
• Experience with multimedia, video editing, and e-learning authoring software such as Articulate and Captivate.
• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems such as Docebo and SCORM asset management.
• Exceptional attention to detail, along with strong project management, organizational, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Degree or certification related to instructional design, especially digital and adult learning.
• Nursing degree, healthcare experience, or comfort with oncology terminology.
• Experience with WalkMe or similar performance support or digital adoption platforms.
• Comfort with emerging learning technologies and AI-assisted tools, with curiosity about improving efficiency.
