Assistant Clinical Professor, Counseling

Location: Corpus Christi, Texas, United States; on-campus responsibilities.

What you will do

• Direct the department’s on-campus counseling and training clinic.
• Teach practicum and internship courses.
• Advise counseling students and participate in program development.
• Engage in community outreach initiatives.

Requirements

• Doctorate in counselor education; advanced ABD candidates may be considered, but the degree must be conferred at appointment.
• Texas LPC or LMFT licensure or licensure eligibility at the time of employment.
• At least three years of post-graduate professional counseling experience.
• Clinical supervision experience.
• Professional identity, experience, and training in one of the department’s counseling specialty areas.
• Experience with community engagement and outreach initiatives.

Nice to have

• Doctorate in counselor education from a CACREP-accredited program.
• Conversational ability in both English and Spanish.
• Experience attracting extramural funding and teaching graduate students.
• Membership and involvement in professional counseling organizations.
• LPC-supervisor credential.
• Experience working with varied student populations.
