Director, Data Strategy & Analytics (AI)

Location: Remote within the United States; candidate must reside and work within the US. Remote work requires a reliable cable or fiber-optic broadband connection with minimum speeds of 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload.

What you will do

• Develop and execute a data and analytics strategy aligned with the organization's mission, vision, and business priorities.
• Manage, mentor, and develop analysts while prioritizing business analytics, AI-enabled analytics, project delivery, review, and quality assurance.
• Lead analysis of revenue, operational, and customer data to create KPIs, models, dashboards, and actionable recommendations.
• Build scalable self-service dashboards, AI agents, and conversational interfaces, with enablement frameworks and appropriate usage guardrails.
• Partner with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, executive leadership, Cambium, and Veritas to translate business needs into data requirements and analytics solutions.
• Own Tableau/BI strategy and governance, vendor relationships, data governance policies, sensitive-data controls, and responsible use of AI across analytics systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in data science, statistics, economics, business, computer science, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in analytics, data strategy, or a related field, with a record of delivering data-driven business solutions; including 5+ years managing, coaching, or leading data analysts or analytics teams.
• Exceptional leadership and management skills, including experience leading high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including data visualization, statistical modeling or machine learning, and go-to-market analyses such as campaign attribution, price sensitivity, account scoring, and retention or churn analysis.
• Professional proficiency with analytics and BI tools such as SQL, Tableau, and Python or R, plus working knowledge of data engineering and cloud data platforms such as dbt, Redshift, and AWS.
• Experience owning BI platform strategy and governance and managing analytics vendors and tools.
• Expertise in metric definition, data governance, data quality management, and broader data management practices.
• Demonstrated experience building or implementing AI-assisted analytics workflows, including AI agents, natural-language query interfaces, or LLM-driven analytics, with understanding of data privacy, security, ethical governance, and hallucination guardrails.
• Excellent communication, data storytelling, and collaboration skills, including the ability to explain complex insights to executive and non-technical audiences; strategic prioritization across multiple stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with sales and customer data platforms such as Salesforce.
• Experience in a SaaS B2B or B2G organization.
• Advanced degree in a relevant field.
