Product Owner (Cybersecurity)

Location: Hybrid, with onsite work 2–3 days per week at the customer site in Fort Meade, Maryland, United States; travel up to 25% may be required for CONUS and OCONUS customer support.

Salary: $124,303.00–$190,000.00 per year.

What you will do

• Lead analytic and application development supporting operations, integrating production capabilities into customer workflows.
• Serve as the subject-matter expert for Air Force operational BDP capabilities and provide technical support to users.
• Gather software requirements, create development roadmaps, answer user questions, and troubleshoot platform issues.
• Coordinate with engineering, management, marketing, and the Customer Experience Group on development plans, operational roadmaps, and action plans.
• Own customer success and coordinate DevSecOps delivery timelines, releases, acceptance, and customer adoption.
• Support business development through customer relationships, opportunity identification, proposals, market responses, and partner networks.

Requirements

• Active Secret U.S. Government Security Clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.
• At least 9 years of relevant DoD cyber, agile development, and/or big-data experience with a bachelor's degree; 7 years with a related master's degree; or 13 years with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior government or military experience with MARFORCYBER, DCSA, DISA, Army Cyber, U.S. Cyber Command, U.S. Air Force AFCYBER, or 10th Fleet/Navy Cyber is required.
• Experience directly managing complex technical projects or programs and prior software or systems engineering experience.
• Understanding of budget practices and acquisition organizations, or relationships with relevant personnel.
• Ability to work with customers to understand products and increase adoption and buy-in.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; strong interpersonal, public-speaking, interviewing, active-listening, empathy, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Experience participating in the full business-development lifecycle, including proposal support, staffing, opportunity identification, bid/no-bid analysis, RFI, and market responses.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, adapt to schedule changes, work onsite in Fort Meade 2–3 days per week, and travel up to 25% on occasion with short notice.

Nice to have

• DoD 8140/8570 compliance certifications, as required by the customer.
• Experience with software engineering, cloud technologies, and cybersecurity.
• Technical background sufficient to determine system requirements and support accurate design and estimating.
• Previous BDP experience.
