Java Software Engineer (FinTech)

Location: Contractors based in Poland

Rate: 89–119 per hour (B2B)

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain Java-based internal finance applications for revenue accounting, invoice processing, bus partner settlements, and payment reconciliation.
• Develop services for managing settlement-relevant bus partner data and tracking changes through event history.
• Implement event-driven data processing workflows with Kafka to support settlement operations across hirify.global entities.
• Collaborate directly with finance, billing, and partner teams to understand needs and shape solutions.
• Participate in product development from refinement and technical design through delivery and operations.
• Contribute to infrastructure as code, CI/CD, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, monitoring, and observability with tools such as Datadog.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer, including exposure to data processing systems.
• Commercial experience with Java.
• Experience with event-driven architectures, ideally Kafka.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure providers, ideally AWS.
• Solid SQL knowledge.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes, or similar container orchestration tools, and CI/CD.
• Fluent English.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Snowflake or similar data warehousing solutions.
• Experience with frontend technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, React, or Angular.
