Java Developer with DevOps Experience (Azure/Kubernetes)

Location: Kraków, Poland; candidates must live in or near Kraków and work from the client's office 3 days per week on a hybrid basis.

Rate: 115–160 PLN/h on B2B, depending on experience: 5–8 years: 115–140 PLN/h; 8–10 years: 135–160 PLN/h.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain Java applications with Spring Boot for high-performance messaging systems.
• Build and integrate messaging solutions using Kafka and/or RabbitMQ.
• Containerise applications and deploy them to Azure Kubernetes Service using Helm.
• Manage cloud infrastructure as code with Terraform.
• Work with SQL, PostgreSQL, and in-memory data grids such as Apache Ignite or Hazelcast.
• Tune application performance and troubleshoot issues across environments.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of relevant experience.
• Java development with Spring Boot and Spring Security.
• DevOps experience with containerisation, Helm, Azure, AKS, and Terraform.
• Messaging experience with Kafka and/or RabbitMQ.
• SQL and PostgreSQL experience, plus Apache Ignite or Hazelcast.
• Experience with high-performance messaging applications and performance tuning.
• Fluent English for technical and business communication.
• Polish or EU citizenship, or permanent residence/work authorisation valid for at least 12 months.

Hiring process

• One interview with the IT services partner, followed by 1–3 interviews with the bank.
• Technical tasks are completed live; the development environment, tools, and language/framework versions must be prepared and tested beforehand.
• Selected candidates undergo an external HireRight background check covering identity, right to work, education, and employment history. AI tools, coding assistants, and code generators are not allowed during interviews.
