Business Systems Analyst Senior – Washington DC

Location: Onsite at the worksite in Washington, DC; US Citizen or Green Card holder required; in-person interviews.

Salary: $65.00/hour on 1099 or $60.00/hour on W2.

What you will do

• Capture, verify, document, and manage functional, non-functional, and performance requirements and requirements traceability.
• Work with business stakeholders, end users, managers, developers, QA teams, and government clients to define software requirements, specifications, workflows, and system analysis.
• Create and maintain system documentation, user guides, release notes, process analyses, standard operating procedures, requirements traceability matrix drafts, process diagrams, and ER diagrams.
• Analyze, design, and evaluate computer systems and support the implementation and management of business-aligned IT services.
• Provide strategic and technical advice, presentations, and support for new initiatives, application enhancements, and projects.
• Use monitoring and performance analysis tools to troubleshoot application issues and help maintain secure, defect-free software that follows development, testing, and deployment standards.

Requirements

• 11–15 years of professional experience in business analysis, including requirements capture, verification, management, and traceability for product development, testing, and delivery.
• At least five years of experience in software requirements analysis and documentation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to obtain detailed requirements from end users, managers, and clients at all levels by facilitating meetings, asking probing questions, and translating feedback into documented requirements.
• Excellent communication, writing, critical thinking, analytical, and system and user documentation skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with modeling tools such as Visio and Balsamiq and requirements management tools such as Contour or Jira.
• Experience with Agile and SDLC methodologies, software documentation, user guides, process analysis, system diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
• Ability to work with government policies, regulations, operational missions, and program goals, and to collaborate with developers, QA/QC teams, and client stakeholders.
