Senior Technical Business Analyst

What you will do

• Gather and document business and technical requirements in an Agile environment and translate them into user stories.
• Write API requirements covering request and response structures, data mappings, error handling, and integration workflows for Java/Spring Boot services.
• Define front-end requirements for React-based web applications and collaborate with designers on user experience.
• Create flow diagrams, sequence diagrams, and technical documentation for authentication and identity management flows.
• Work with tech leads, architects, value stream owners, and product stakeholders to decompose complex requirements, validate solution designs, and align functionality with business objectives and compliance standards.
• Analyze existing systems, conduct impact analysis, support troubleshooting during implementation and production, and mentor junior and mid-level analysts.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or in a similar software development role.
• Strong experience gathering, documenting, and managing business and system requirements, including workflows, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, integration patterns, API documentation, and tools such as Postman.
• Ability to write user stories for web applications covering both front-end UI and back-end API layers.
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and Figma in an Agile development environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to different audiences.
• Strong understanding of complex, multi-platform application architectures and system integrations.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, timelines, and deliverables while adapting to changing project requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with authentication, identity management, or security systems, including SSO, OAuth, and MFA.
• Background in financial services, particularly defined contribution or retail investment platforms.
• SQL proficiency for data analysis and requirements validation.
• Understanding of web accessibility standards, including ADA/WCAG.
• Experience writing detailed acceptance criteria or BDD-style specifications.
• Previous experience as a QA engineer, developer, or in another hands-on Agile delivery role.
• Production support or troubleshooting experience.
