UX Designer (AI)

Location: London, UK; hybrid working with at least two days per week or 40% of time at an office site.

Salary: £72,702–£80,780.

What you will do

• Own UX design for the Machine Learning Lab within the Agentic & AI Platform, primarily supporting Atlas, the Machine Learning service.
• Shape current and future end-to-end journeys for onboarding, access, self-service and colleague-facing productivity services.
• Translate complex Machine Learning concepts, processes and technical requirements into clear user experiences.
• Create user flows, wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes in Figma from early concepts through detailed UI and delivery.
• Use research, usability testing and feedback to iterate designs and challenge assumptions.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering and the wider Experience Design community on accessible, inclusive journeys, shared patterns, components and design systems.

Requirements

• Strong experience as a UX, Product or Interaction Designer, including end-to-end journey design, interaction design, prototyping and UI.
• Proactive, self-starting approach with experience taking ownership of design and identifying opportunities in multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to work through ambiguity, structure complex problems, and take work from discovery and journey definition through detailed design and delivery.
• Strong hands-on Figma capability, including working with and contributing to established design systems and patterns.
• Experience designing colleague-facing productivity web interfaces and services.
• Ability to understand complex processes and technical concepts and translate them into simple, intuitive experiences.
• Experience using research, usability testing and evidence to improve designs.
• Confidence collaborating with Product and Engineering, explaining design rationale and constructively challenging assumptions.
• Strong understanding of accessibility and inclusive design.

Nice to have

• Experience designing technically complex enterprise platforms, especially onboarding, access, self-service or multi-system journeys.
• Experience in financial services or another regulated environment.
• Experience contributing to shared design systems or component libraries.
