Sort Probe Card Module Engineer (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Albuquerque or Rio Rancho, New Mexico, United States.

Salary: Annual salary range of $103,730–$146,440 USD.

What you will do

• Monitor, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize Sort Interface Unit and metrology equipment for high-volume manufacturing.
• Develop, implement, and optimize XIU metrology recipes for new product introductions and production processes.
• Drive improvements in safety, quality, equipment availability, yield, cost, standardization, process control, and manufacturability.
• Transfer and optimize new processes and probe technologies with Technology Development teams and investigate improved repair and measurement methodologies.
• Perform root-cause analysis, corrective actions, excursion response, data analysis, and integrated process improvements with cross-functional partners.
• Support equipment installation, qualification, maintenance, factory ramps, technician training, and collaboration with vendors and global Virtual Factory partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline plus 3+ years of semiconductor device fabrication or semiconductor manufacturing experience; or a master’s degree plus 2+ years of such experience; or a PhD plus 2+ years of such experience.
• Experience with statistical process control methodologies and engineering analysis tools.
• Experience with model-based problem-solving and root-cause analysis methods, including MBPS, DOE, FMEA, or equivalent approaches.
• Ability to develop, qualify, and implement process and/or hardware improvements in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Ability to plan, develop, and execute projects lasting two or more months.
• Strong communication, collaboration, organization, judgment, initiative, attention to quality and detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities across engineering, equipment sustaining, process transfer, and continuous improvement.

Nice to have

• Data fluency in data extraction, visualization, statistical analysis, and interpretation for decision-making.
• Experience supporting or leading cross-functional task forces as a facilitator or technical lead.
• Previous PCM or other Sort/Test experience.
• Experience in high-volume manufacturing or technology development environments.
• Strong collaboration and communication with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
