Process Engineer I (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Billerica, MA, United States; onsite role with travel required 10% of the time. Relocation eligible.

Salary: $70,000–$95,500 per year.

What you will do

• Collect, analyze, and report data from basic process engineering experiments.
• Perform hardware characterization on basic systems and measure film properties.
• Troubleshoot process engineering issues, perform root cause analysis, and resolve problems under direct supervision.
• Generate internal product documentation, presentations, and technical reports.
• Communicate with customers to resolve basic process engineering concerns under direct supervision.
• Work with vendors and suppliers and become familiar with implementing new technologies, products, and analytical instrumentation.

Requirements

• Graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field.
• Must be in good academic standing; a GPA above 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is preferred.
• Ability to solve complex problems and take a new perspective on existing solutions.
• Ability to exercise judgment based on analysis of multiple sources of information.
• Ability to explain difficult or sensitive information and work to build consensus.
