Manufacturing Engineer II (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Austin, TX; onsite manufacturing role on the night shift with standing, walking, clean-room, and physical equipment requirements. Travel: 10% of the time. Relocation is not eligible.

Salary: $78,500.00–$108,000.00 per year.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain methods, operating sequences, and processes for fabricating parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies.
• Coordinate the release of product improvements and new products with other engineering functions.
• Apply engineering and Design for Excellence principles to reduce manufacturing and product costs and improve product quality.
• Determine time standards and recommend tooling and process requirements.
• Develop and use test procedures, evaluate test results, and assess work methods, procedures, and policies.
• Perform Process Failure Mode & Effects Analysis, identify root causes and corrective actions for assembly or system-testing issues, and prepare reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 2–4 years of related experience.
• Ability to work in the required physical environment, including extended standing, walking, tight spaces, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, lifting, distinguishing between colors, and using hand and power tools.
• Ability to work in a potentially noisy clean-room environment and use required personal protective equipment, including coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields.
