Principal Product Designer (AI/Security)

Location: Remote (United States); remote work from eligible locations may be available for up to 2 months per year.

Salary: $160,000–$190,000 USD per year.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end UX/UI design across AI-native platforms, agentic workflows, collaborative data environments, and permission-controlled data sharing.
• Translate high-level workflows and technical requirements into wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity concepts, component documentation, and UI copy.
• Design secure-by-default interaction patterns for data visibility, access control, and sharing.
• Partner with Product Owners, Engineering, and stakeholders to evaluate technical tradeoffs, align on backend logic, and influence roadmap direction.
• Lead strategic design for cohesive, scalable workflows and establish design patterns and principles across the product suite.
• Help advance responsible AI use and human-centered, AI-first design practices.

Requirements

• 8+ years of product design experience, including at least 3 years in complex enterprise or technical domains such as AI platforms, cybersecurity, identity, or data-intensive systems.
• Technical fluency, including the ability to work directly with engineering, read system architecture, synthesize complex information, and design within real constraints.
• Experience designing agentic and collaborative workflows involving multiple users or agents interacting with shared state.
• Strategic curiosity and the ability to uncover technical problems and user needs in high-stakes environments.
• Systemic thinking for complex workflows and security-focused systems where trust and precision are critical.
• Strong visual design sensibility for clear, polished technical interfaces.
• Design leadership and mentorship, including refining internal processes and raising the quality of team output.
