Works Manager

Location: Aberdeenshire, United Kingdom; site-based role supporting major energy infrastructure projects in the North East of Scotland.

What you will do

• Supervise site operations and coordinate weekly engagement with the project team.
• Manage site supervision, subcontractors, supply chain, workforce, labour, plant, and materials.
• Oversee construction programmes, operational records, compliance, and delivery of project requirements.
• Lead safety, quality, environmental, wellbeing, and professional standards across the site.
• Build and develop teams, arrange competency training, monitor performance, and manage industrial relations.
• Attend safety, programme, commercial, and business meetings and maintain client satisfaction.

Requirements

• Extensive experience overseeing earthworks operations within major infrastructure or energy projects.
• Successful experience as a Works Manager on civil engineering projects.
• Extensive experience managing major civil engineering activities and temporary works.
• Valid SMSTS certification.
• Experience developing and promoting safe systems of work.
• Excellent people management, team-building, and communication skills, including communication with the public, clients, and joint ventures.
• Qualified First Aider.
