Building Services Manager

Location: Solihull, United Kingdom; based in the Central region with regular site-based construction duties.

What you will do

• Manage building services subcontractors and monitor progress against installation programmes and construction commitments.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, public health engineers, designers, consultants, clients, and internal stakeholders on technical and delivery matters.
• Ensure M&E installations meet specifications, construction drawings, good engineering principles, design intent, and commercial quality standards.
• Manage information flow, drawing production, requests for information, site diaries, progress meetings, reports, and programme implications.
• Coordinate testing and commissioning readiness, including power-on, gas, water, and construction completion requirements.
• Control authorised changes, variation orders, subcontractor resources, health and safety responsibilities, and reporting to project and client meetings.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience working in the building services environment.
• Strong interpersonal, persuasive communication, and relationship-building skills with clients, external consultants, and internal stakeholders.
• Understanding of internal and external delivery project procurement processes.
• Ability to work effectively in a time-critical, fast-moving environment.
• Ability to manage a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to multitask and provide focus, direction, and solutions where required.
