Senior Staff Consultant - Business Analyst

Location: Hybrid — New York, New York, United States

Salary: $115K–$130K gross annually, including base and bonuses

What you will do

• Work with stakeholders to understand business processes, challenges, and technology needs.
• Gather, document, analyze, and translate business and functional requirements into user stories, workflows, and technical specifications.
• Conduct gap analysis and impact assessments, analyze existing systems, and recommend technical improvements or integrations.
• Collaborate with development teams, architects, and engineers to design scalable and efficient solutions.
• Act as a liaison between business and technical teams; facilitate meetings, workshops, decision-making, and solution design.
• Define UAT test cases, support implementation troubleshooting, and enable the transition from development to production through documentation and training.

Requirements

• 6–10 years of experience as a business analyst or product owner in a technology-driven environment.
• Strong understanding of software development, databases, APIs, cloud computing, and system integration.
• Ability to break down complex business problems and translate them into technical solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with business and technical teams.
• Experience with Agile environments and collaboration with product owners, developers, and testers.
• Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions.
• Experience with SQL, JIRA, Confluence, API documentation tools such as Postman or Swagger, data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience in AI, machine learning, or data analytics projects.
• CBAP, CSPO, or Agile certifications.
