Senior Business Analyst

Location: Denver, Colorado, United States. Fully onsite with daily presence required at the LoDo/Union Station office; remote, hybrid, and out-of-area candidates are not considered.

Salary: $116,000–$145,000/year base salary.

What you will do

• Lead discovery with business stakeholders to define problems, desired outcomes, measurable success criteria, and customer feedback priorities.
• Translate business needs into structured features, requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and engineering-ready documentation.
• Facilitate backlog reviews, refinement, prioritization, sprint planning, and other Scrum ceremonies while tracking sprint progress and velocity.
• Create and standardize work tickets in Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar tools, and maintain delivery documentation in Confluence.
• Package projects and business requests, support business case development, quantify business value, and identify risks and dependencies.
• Coordinate business stakeholders, product liaisons, engineering, and delivery teams across multiple concurrent projects and feature tracks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, IT, or a related field.
• 6–8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Senior Business Analyst in a growing, matrixed technical environment. Experience with consumer and commercial products is preferred within the required experience; market research experience is a plus.
• Deep fluency in Agile methodology and the full SDLC, including understanding how software is built and how requirements are prepared for engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, or comparable work management tools, plus working knowledge of Atlassian Confluence.
• Demonstrated ability to write precise, complete, and usable requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Experience supporting business case development, articulating business value, and defining measurable success criteria.
• Ability to manage ambiguity across multiple workstreams and stakeholders while maintaining detail and momentum.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills, including running discovery sessions, synthesizing outputs, and presenting to technical and executive audiences.

Nice to have

• Certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Project Management Professional (PMP), or similar.
• Market research industry experience.
