Rigging & Packaging Engineer

Location: Taoyuan City, Taiwan; Conditions: Linkou, Taiwan. Hands-on shopfloor role with regular engagement in factory, warehouse, and cleanroom operations.

What you will do

• Review and optimize packaging specifications for inbound, outbound, and transportation requirements.
• Identify packaging risks and failure modes involving material damage, contamination, handling constraints, and transportation.
• Analyze unpacking and packing processes to identify bottlenecks and lead cross-functional improvements in safety, quality, productivity, labor hours, and cycle time.
• Support shopfloor teams in resolving operational disturbances, material damage, abnormalities, and process deviations.
• Perform root-cause analysis, coordinate containment and corrective and preventive actions, and monitor their effectiveness.
• Define project scope, benefits, implementation plans, and metrics; communicate progress and results to stakeholders and factory management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in warehouse, logistics, packaging, material handling, manufacturing, or related operations.
• Hands-on experience working with shopfloor teams in factory, warehouse, or cleanroom environments.
• Experience driving process improvements with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
• Ability to investigate process deviations and material damage, implement corrective and preventive actions, develop standard work instructions, and provide training.
• Ability to act as a liaison between operations, management, and cross-functional stakeholders and clearly communicate project proposals, risks, progress, and results.

Nice to have

• Experience in 3PL management.
• Experience in logistics automation, packaging or material-handling automation, AGV/AMR, or related automation projects.
• Experience using AI tools for data analysis, process improvement, or knowledge management.
