Senior Civil Engineer

What you will do

• Lead civil engineering design for site development works, earthworks, roads, underground drainage, and utility infrastructure.
• Perform analysis and design from concept and detailed design through construction and commissioning.
• Respond to site queries and manage design changes during construction.
• Prepare man-hour estimates, technical documentation, and design inputs for bids and proposals.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary design colleagues throughout project delivery.
• Provide technical guidance and ensure compliance with contractual, legislative, regulatory, and internal requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering.
• Proven experience in civil engineering design, ideally including drainage systems, earthworks, road design, and site infrastructure.
• Experience delivering civil engineering design within complex capital projects.
• Proficiency in relevant design software such as AutoCAD, Windes, Revit, Civil 3D, PDS, and AutoTrack.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills for working with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Proactive, solutions-focused approach with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Demonstrable leadership potential, including the ability to guide colleagues and support the development of others.

Nice to have

• Chartered Engineer status or progress towards chartership.
• Experience in Life Sciences, data centres, or other technically demanding environments aligned with hirify.global's sectors.
• Experience supporting civil engineering works during the construction phase.
