Digital Manager (BIM)

Location: Plymouth, United Kingdom; on-site work at a high-security naval base. Candidates must hold an EU, NATO, 5 Eyes, or MISWG member passport and have been UK residents for the last 5 years. BPSS security clearance is required and may take up to 8 weeks.

What you will do

• Lead project BIM, digital construction, and information management activities across planning, construction, commissioning, and handover.
• Manage digital workloads, resources, project strategies, risks, change, reporting, and commercial impacts.
• Support 4D planning and digital rehearsals using Bentley Synchro or approved equivalents to improve constructability, sequencing, safety, and programme certainty.
• Manage federated 3D models, Project and Asset Information Models, Common Data Environments, delivery formats, and data assurance, including COBie where applicable.
• Coordinate field BIM, reality capture, digital quality assurance, asset tagging, site data capture, model validation, and 5D forecasting.
• Train and influence project teams, subcontractors, supply-chain partners, and stakeholders while coordinating ISO 19650 audits and digital system mobilisation.

Requirements

• Leadership experience within a multi-disciplinary project or construction team.
• Experience working in live construction environments and supporting site delivery teams with BIM and digital outputs.
• 3–5 years of experience on construction projects or facilities management contracts, focused on digital delivery and information management.
• Practical understanding of construction sequencing, logistics, temporary works coordination, package management, subcontractor interfaces, installation, commissioning, and handover.
• Experience applying BIM to construction-stage problems rather than solely to design coordination.
• Strong working knowledge of the ISO 19650 series and experience producing, implementing, or assuring related information management deliverables.
• Good management, planning, written and verbal communication, time-management, and outcome-delivery skills.
• Experience contributing to prequalification and tender submissions.
• Higher education qualification in construction, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Ability to lead by example and demonstrate BAM values.
• Practical expertise in Revit, AutoCAD, Solibri, Bentley Synchro, ProjectWise, and Datascope, or approved equivalents.
