What you will do

• Deliver mechanical engineering designs for heating, ventilation, cooling, domestic water, and related building services systems.
• Prepare and check calculations, drawings, specifications, and coordinated design packages from concept through construction.
• Coordinate mechanical services with architectural, structural, electrical, and sustainability disciplines.
• Manage and support junior and senior engineers, including contributing to career development and chartership pathways.
• Conduct building surveys, verify existing installations, and provide commentary on mechanical systems.
• Attend construction sites for monitoring, clerk of works duties, asset capture surveys, and responses to contractor queries.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• Demonstrable experience delivering mechanical designs in a consultancy or design-and-build environment.
• Experience taking project design responsibility from feasibility through detailed design and construction.
• Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations, CIBSE guides, and relevant industry standards.
• Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, IES, and relevant Microsoft software.
• Organised, detail-oriented, proactive, collaborative, and capable of managing multiple deadlines and engineers.

Nice to have

• Progress toward professional registration with CIBSE or IMechE.
