Head of PMO (SaaS)

Location: Leeds, Liverpool or Belfast. Hybrid working pattern with approximately 2 days per week on-site.

Salary: £50,000–£65,000 DOE.

Growing technology and SaaS organisation developing its Professional Services Portfolio Management Office.

What you will do

• Lead, develop and mature the PMO and portfolio management function.
• Establish consistent portfolio governance, reporting and project control standards.
• Improve the quality and consistency of project, financial, resource and delivery data.
• Provide senior leadership with insight into portfolio health, risks, dependencies and delivery confidence.
• Oversee governance, assurance and review processes, including RAID, milestones, dependencies and change activity.
• Develop a PMO maturity roadmap, improve tooling and automation, and lead PMO capability development.

Requirements

• Proven experience running, owning, scaling or maturing a PMO or Portfolio Management function.
• Strong experience managing complex project and programme portfolios within a SaaS or software environment.
• Strong understanding of portfolio governance, assurance and project controls.
• Experience with portfolio financials, forecasting, resource and capacity planning, risks and dependencies.
• Confident working with senior stakeholders and influencing decisions.
• Strong people leadership and capability development skills.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on operational delivery.
• Experience improving PMO processes, reporting and ways of working.

Nice to have

• Experience operating within a Professional Services or consultancy environment.
• Experience with Power BI, Excel, Jira, Confluence, MS Project or PPM/PSA platforms.
