Programme Planning & Enablement Manager (Regulatory Change)

Location: Hybrid, with at least two days per week or 40% of working time at an office site in Birmingham, Cardiff, Chester, Edinburgh, Halifax, or Leeds, UK.

Salary: £78,098–£91,880 per year.

What you will do

• Lead the planning approach and coordinated plan for the motor finance regulatory remediation programme, connecting strategic priorities, outcomes, resources, dependencies, and the critical path.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the project management team, setting accountability, priorities, delivery standards, and resource deployment.
• Oversee change impacts and readiness, ensuring implementation gaps are understood, owned, and addressed.
• Work with senior leaders and partners across programme management, change, risk, legal, technology, data, and operations to resolve competing priorities and shape delivery decisions.
• Provide clear executive reporting, options, recommendations, evidence, and programme confidence for governance forums and regulatory reviews.
• Strengthen risk, dependency, issue, governance, assurance, reporting, and workflow practices, including responsible AI opportunities that improve pace, quality, and control.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading, mentoring, and developing project or delivery professionals while sustaining high performance through change.
• Strong programme planning and delivery leadership across a complex portfolio, including strategy, achievements, resources, dependencies, and outcomes.
• Demonstrable experience influencing senior collaborators and producing high-quality Board and executive papers, with the ability to synthesise complex information into clear options, recommendations, and decisions.
• Excellent analytical judgement and problem-solving skills, including interpreting conflicting information, anticipating delivery impacts, and making sound decisions quickly.
• Confident, credible communication skills, with the ability to simplify complexity, adapt to different audiences, and challenge constructively.
• High standards for accuracy, evidence, delivery quality, governance, and control while maintaining pace.
• Extensive experience guiding delivery in intricate, high-profile settings, with a solid understanding of governance, assurance, and change lifecycles.
• Ability to keep customer and colleague outcomes central to planning and delivery decisions and ensure change is practical, balanced, and safely implemented.
• Proven experience in regulatory change, remediation, or complaints environments.
