Welding Engineer

Location: Wujiang, Jiangsu, China; onsite in the office five days a week.

What you will do

• Provide onsite welding technology services for CWL automatic welding line construction and upgrades, and support BCP structural welding process development.
• Apply advanced welding technologies to structural components and automated welding production in hirify.global’s China facilities.
• Support welding plant layout and material-flow upgrades for structural-component facilities.
• Optimize structural-component designs with the engineering team based on welding characteristics and practices in China.
• Analyze failed welded components to identify root causes and support competitor benchmarking for quality and cost control.
• Apply analytical thinking, decision-making, technical troubleshooting, project management, manufacturing standards, and product-testing practices.

Requirements

• Strong expertise in advanced welding assembly of construction-machinery structural components and automated welding production.
• Knowledge of welded structural-component production processes and welding technology application.
• Working knowledge of technical troubleshooting, manufacturing standards, project management, and product testing.
• Good command of English in listening, speaking, reading, and writing, with strong communication skills.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Good project management skills, especially for welding line construction and structural welding process development.
• Familiarity with GB, ISO, ASTM, and other welding standards for construction-machinery components.
• Strong expertise in advanced welding assembly of structural components and automated welding production.
• Understanding of the relationship among steel materials, welding processes, and the strength and fatigue performance of welded components.
• Experience welding engineering structural components.
• Basic programming capability in Python, C, C++, or similar languages.
