Entry Level Software Quality Specialist

Location: Dayton, OH, US; hybrid work may be available after the training period for eligible associates, with up to two work-from-home days per week.

What you will do

• Develop and execute functional, application, and regression tests for software builds, defect fixes, interim releases, and new functionality.
• Lead testing efforts, actively identify software breaks, certify fixes, analyze results, and make recommendations.
• Write defect reports and quality assurance test scenarios; document, communicate, and escalate risks and issues to the QA Manager.
• Collaborate with product design teams to identify and correct deviations from software specifications.
• Cross-train other quality analysts on software solutions and testing processes.
• Contribute to software documentation, including user guides and user manuals.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to think critically, solve problems, and take initiative.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
