Software Quality Assurance Lead

Location: Onsite in Birmingham, Alabama or Atlanta, Georgia, United States; strong preference for Birmingham. Relocation assistance is not provided, and relocation is at the candidate's expense. Applicants must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States.

Salary: $67,488.30–$89,600.00 USD annually; the role is not incentive eligible.

What you will do

• Lead projects from a quality assurance perspective in partnership with project managers, application development teams, business units, Compliance, Risk, and Audit.
• Design test strategies and plans, coordinate test planning and execution, and manage testing resources and funding.
• Provide test management guidance, select and onboard test management tools, and support their effective use.
• Partner with test automation teams, prepare automation transition plans, and support ongoing project operations.
• Define quality metrics, health scores, reports, and defect workflows for projects.
• Support QA talent and external resource onboarding, vendor contract reviews, project roadmaps, process improvements, change management, and compliance with risk, regulatory, and cybersecurity requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and four years of quality or related experience, or a high school diploma/GED and eight years of quality or related experience.
• Ability to adapt to change, collaborate across teams, and demonstrate leadership capabilities.
• Ability to interpret and ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and industry guidance.
• Ability to research and analyze data and derive data-driven solutions.
• Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.
• Proficiency in software testing concepts, priority management, problem-solving, critical thinking, communication, organization, self-motivation, and work ethic.
• Current authorization to work full-time in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Project management experience and familiarity with Regions' testing standards.
• Working knowledge of software implementation methodologies, test automation, and test case design and strategy.
• Working knowledge of Azure DevOps, Tricentis qTest, Jira, or Application Lifecycle Management tools.
• Working knowledge of Tosca, Selenium, Power BI, Postman, and PowerPoint.
• Communication, SLA-driven work, and additional leadership experience.
