Software QA Engineer 2 (AI)

Location: Greenwich, CT, United States; hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office and 2 remote.

Base pay: $69,600–$174,000 annualized. Actual pay may vary based on qualifications, location, and schedule; incentive plans, bonuses, and benefits may also apply.

What you will do

• Serve as the primary QA partner for Product, Engineering, Client Success, Implementation, and leadership across assigned product areas.
• Coordinate requirements, quality priorities, dependencies, risks, testing strategies, and delivery expectations throughout roadmap, sprint, and release planning.
• Review test plans, estimates, functional requirements, QA metrics, root cause analyses, reliability findings, and release trends.
• Assess release readiness, provide QA sign-off at quality gates, and help resolve blockers before production releases.
• Provide hands-on testing for high-priority releases, complex product scenarios, and client-specific needs, including participation in client discussions.
• Contribute to test automation and AI-assisted testing initiatives and support adoption of new validation approaches.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of software QA and testing experience, including cross-functional coordination, with at least 1 year leading QA activities, initiatives, or projects.
• Experience collaborating with QA, Product, and Engineering teams throughout software development and release cycles.
• Ability to balance QA leadership and coordination with direct testing as needed.
• Experience with test planning, release readiness, defect management, and root cause analysis.
• Practical experience with QA automation and AI-based testing tools or approaches.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and logical reasoning skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills across technical, business, and distributed teams.
• Adaptability to shifting priorities and adoption of new technologies, tools, and QA processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or substantial professional experience.
• Must reside in the same country where the job is located.

Nice to have

• Experience in payer, provider, or healthcare technology environments.
• Client-facing QA support experience.
• Familiarity with enterprise QA governance, quality metrics, and scorecards.
