Ocean Operations Associate (Ocean LCL)

Location: Shenzhen, China; onsite.

What you will do

• Lead business implementation and shipment execution for new clients and opportunities.
• Coordinate end-to-end Ocean LCL imports and exports, including LCL, transload, trucking, and warehouse activities.
• Execute carrier booking and documentation processes, troubleshoot shipments, and escalate and handle exceptions.
• Monitor quality through KPIs, SLAs, shipment milestones, and data quality metrics.
• Analyze subcontractor performance and contribute to carrier and vendor performance management.
• Build, test, and improve scalable operational infrastructure, procedures, systems, and process capabilities.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree.
• At least 2 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain, ocean carrier operations, or consulting.
• Hands-on, process-oriented, structured thinking with strong problem-solving capabilities.
• Strategic vision combined with ground-floor execution.
• Ability to manage vendor relations and create innovative operational structures.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with a client-service mindset and strong attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work outside office hours and occasional weekend or night shifts in certain locations.
