Instructional Systems Designer (Instructional Systems Development)

Location: 100% remote position; job records also list Washington, DC. Task orders may require work at government facilities, on vessels, or on platforms, including physically observing performance and climbing ladders.

What you will do

• Develop instructional design documents, storyboards, and content outlines in accordance with USCG and task-order requirements.
• Select delivery methods and media for human performance development and competency testing.
• Design tests and practical application exercises that reliably measure performance against learning objectives.
• Conduct formative and summative evaluations, pilot studies, and reviews.
• Develop pilot plans and reports, analyze feedback and pilot data, and revise training products.
• Oversee ISD project completion, collaborate with government and contract teams, and ensure compliance with USCG TRASYS SOPs and applicable standards.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Instructional Systems, Instructional Systems Technology, Instructional & Performance Technology, or Education with a concentration in Educational Technology is preferred; five years of documented related experience may substitute for the educational requirement.
• Minimum two years of experience using the Instructional Systems Development process to develop courses and training interventions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and computer graphics programs.
• Ability to meet physical requirements that may apply to task orders at government facilities, on vessels, or on platforms, including physically observing performance and climbing ladders.
• Successful SSBI background investigation required.
• Resume and OF-306 submission required.
