Software Developer (Vue/Nuxt)

Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States; on-site presence required.

Salary: $85,000 per year.

What you will do

• Develop containerized full-stack applications using Spring Boot, MySQL, Nuxt.js, and Vue.js, including static, server-side rendered, and single-page applications.
• Design and develop REST API applications using Spring Boot.
• Build AWS serverless services with technologies such as API Gateway, Amazon SQS, AWS Lambda, AWS Glue, AWS Step Functions, and Amazon Cognito.
• Interpret software requirements, identify dependencies and risks, and estimate work within the Scrum process.
• Plan and prioritize development tasks to meet project objectives and customer-initiated deadlines.
• Design testing protocols and use CI/CD and build tools including NPM, Yarn, Docker, AWS SAM, and Gradle.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience with an object-oriented programming language such as Java or C#, as well as Python and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with Java Spring Boot, JHipster, or similar application-development frameworks.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud development and cloud-native application patterns.
• Ability and interest in learning new systems, frameworks, and programming languages quickly.
• Ability to produce high-quality work while balancing multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong collaboration, teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to meet customer-initiated deadlines and maintain confidentiality and professionalism in Acrisure-related activities.
• Ability to work on-site in Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with React.js and/or Vue.js using the Nuxt.js framework.
• Experience with CSS frameworks such as Bootstrap, Vuetify, or Tailwind CSS.
• Experience with Apache Spark and PySpark.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, MySQL, REST APIs, CI/CD pipelines, NPM, Yarn, AWS SAM, or Gradle.
• Experience with AWS API Gateway, Amazon SQS, AWS Lambda, AWS Glue, AWS Step Functions, and Amazon Cognito.
