Full Stack Developer/Front End Engineer (AWS)

Location: Colorado Springs, CO or Dayton, OH preferred; remote personnel willing to travel will be considered. United States-based role.

Target salary range: $111,000–$192,000 annually.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain secure web applications supporting US Air Force mission requirements.
• Build responsive user interfaces with React and TypeScript, plus backend services, RESTful APIs, integrations, and data models.
• Deploy applications and services in AWS and AWS GovCloud and integrate them with cloud services, enterprise data platforms, authentication services, databases, and external APIs.
• Write maintainable, tested code; participate in peer reviews; troubleshoot application, integration, performance, and production issues.
• Apply DevSecOps practices including automated testing, CI/CD, source control, and secure software development.
• Collaborate with product owners, designers, engineers, architects, and customer stakeholders on technical design, architecture, Agile delivery, and technology improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with modeling and simulation platforms and production full-stack web applications.
• Experience with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience developing backend applications or services with Node.js, Python, Java, C#, or .NET.
• Experience designing, building, and consuming RESTful APIs; working with relational databases and SQL; and developing or deploying applications in AWS.
• Experience with Git-based source control, modern development workflows, and Agile software development teams.
• Understanding of application architecture, testing, debugging, and secure coding practices.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, customers, and stakeholders.
• Active Secret security clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS GovCloud or other secure government cloud environments.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, containerized development, CI/CD platforms, infrastructure as code, and AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, Aurora, S3, ECS, EKS, or Glue.
• Familiarity with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, identity provider integrations, federal security frameworks, and DoD security requirements.
• Experience supporting DoD, Intelligence Community, or other federal government customers and developing software for IL4, IL5, IL6, or similarly controlled environments.
• Experience integrating generative AI, large language models, or agentic AI capabilities into production applications.
