Senior Systems Analyst

Location: National remote; may be performed remotely anywhere within the continental United States, excluding California, New York, Alaska, and Hawaii.

Base pay: $92,700–$167,500 annually; compensation varies by skills, education, knowledge, experience, and location. The role is aligned with an annual incentive bonus plan.

What you will do

• Design enhancements and new business applications or information system solutions by integrating business and technical requirements.
• Develop technical specifications and detailed designs for waterfall, XP, and system enhancement projects.
• Ensure database integrity, security, scalability, availability, performance, capacity, and cost optimization.
• Manage unstable applications, incidents, production and test problem determination, debugging, and escalated implementation issues.
• Support infrastructure builds, SaaS/COTS integration, software upgrades, testing, deployment, and transition to routine operations with architecture, application services, infrastructure, release management, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Maintain database access layers, in-house database utilities, test platforms, developer files, knowledge bases, operating procedures, and user manuals; administer CICS VR forward recovery and review audit, authorization, SDO severity, and CICS ABEND reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 4 years of Information Technology experience, or technical certification and/or college courses with 6 years of Information Technology experience, or 8 years of Information Technology experience.
• Knowledge of application configuration, system performance management, rapid prototyping, requirements definition and management, and SDLC methodologies including Agile, Scrum, and iterative development.
• Experience with Service-Oriented Architecture using SOAP and REST.
• Knowledge of Big Data Analytics technologies including HAVeN, Hadoop, Autonomy, and Vertica.
• Knowledge of cloud computing and SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS technologies.
• Knowledge of integration technologies including Tibco, Informatica, and CAS.
• Knowledge of mobile technologies including PhoneGap, iOS, Android, Java, and HTML5.
• Knowledge of scripting languages including Bash, Perl, Python, and Ruby; web technologies including HTML, CSS, Java, ASP.NET, PHP, Ruby, and C#.
• Conceptual thinking, creative thinking, problem-solving and analytical thinking, and strong oral and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• SQL Server experience.
• AWS cloud provider experience.
• Experience with FACETS Medicare Claim Processing System.
