Senior Application System Analyst

Location: Hybrid Flex in Durham, with at least two days per week in the office; candidates from outside the local area may be considered in states listed on the job posting.

Salary: $98,092.00–$156,947.00 per year, plus an annual incentive bonus.

What you will do

• Analyze complex business needs, system requirements, data challenges, and end-to-end business and technical workflows.
• Elicit, evaluate, prioritize, and translate business and functional requirements into clear system-level solutions.
• Develop functional designs and specifications for new, customized, or enhanced systems, including application interfaces and workflows.
• Identify system impacts, gaps, risks, dependencies, and operational considerations for proposed solutions.
• Partner with business analysts, developers, designers, subject matter experts, and technical teams to define solutions and evaluate tradeoffs.
• Maintain requirements-to-implementation traceability, recommend system changes or retirements, and mentor less experienced team members across complex initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree where required.
• At least 5 years of experience in a related field. In lieu of a degree, at least 7 years of experience in a related field.
• Experience with application development, business requirements analysis, requirements gathering, systems analysis, systems engineering, solutions development, design, and technical designs.
• Ability to provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members and coordinate work across complex initiatives.

Nice to have

• Experience with the healthcare industry and healthcare concepts.
• Comfort with database queries and database concepts.
