Senior Business Systems Analyst - APIs (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid in Denver, Colorado; other listed locations: Atlanta, Georgia and Cincinnati, Ohio. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Annual salary: $96,500–$162,000 USD, with bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements for RESTful APIs, including endpoints, request and response payloads, authentication, and error handling.
• Define system integration points and map data flows between systems to support seamless API communication.
• Review and contribute to API specifications using Swagger/OpenAPI, and create use cases, sequence diagrams, and data flow diagrams.
• Partner with QA teams to define API test cases and validate functionality using Postman or SoapUI.
• Collaborate with product owners, developers, architects, and business stakeholders to align solutions with business objectives.
• Estimate effort, manage timelines, optimize processes, and deliver API initiatives within scope and budget in Agile/Scrum/SAFe environments.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in business systems analysis, specializing in UI requirements, API design and integration, and end-to-end system integration solutions.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end systems development life cycles.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent experience.
• Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment.
• Authorization to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
