Senior Appian Developer (Appian)

Location: 100% remote within the United States; must reside in and perform the work in the United States. US citizenship or a Green Card is required, and the role requires the ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.

Salary: $81,499–$138,549 per year.

What you will do

• Develop Appian BPM solutions for large-scale, business-critical applications supporting federal customers.
• Develop Appian plugins and configure application components, including forms, reports, underlying logic, and interfaces.
• Install and work with application servers such as JBoss, WebLogic, and IIS.
• Configure, debug, and integrate systems and relational databases using SQL scripting.
• Participate in all phases of software development following Agile methodologies.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent hands-on experience with Appian BPM.
• At least 1 year of experience developing Appian plugins.
• At least 1 year of experience with application servers such as JBoss, WebLogic, or IIS as part of installation.
• At least 1 year of experience configuring, debugging, and integrating systems, including forms, reports, underlying logic, and interface components as a developer.
• At least 1 year of experience with relational databases and SQL scripting.
• At least 1 year of experience across all phases of software development for large-scale business-critical applications using Agile methodologies.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• US citizenship or a Green Card, current US work authorization, and residence in the United States are required.
• Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.

Nice to have

• Certified Appian Level 1 Developer, Level 2 Appian Developer, or Level 3 Appian Developer certification.
• Experience with Appian Tempo or Appian Sites.
• Java development experience, including Maven builds.
• Recent software development experience in a federal government setting.
• Experience defining and documenting architecture using different architectural views.
• Exposure to Appian BPM, IBM WebSphere, Mule, LAMP/JBoss, Hadoop, Java, or Microsoft/.NET.
• Experience with enterprise application integration, including SOA and ESB, and n-tier client-server architectures.
• Ability to understand long-term and short-term perspectives and translate business needs into solution architecture requirements.
• Excellent analytical, technical, written, verbal, interpersonal, teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation skills.
