Senior System Engineer III (Storage) - Top Secret Clearance Required (Storage)

Location: Pocatello, Idaho, United States; on-site in an office and datacenter environment.

Salary: $170,000–$190,000 per year.

What you will do

• Design, implement, deploy, test, certify, patch, operate, and support highly available enterprise storage infrastructure across SAN, NAS/NFS/SMB, Fibre Channel, iSCSI, tape, local disk, and storage arrays.
• Serve as the storage subject matter expert and improve security, backup, redundancy, replication, failover, availability, and multi-factor authentication integration.
• Configure storage for bare-metal and virtual machines, including vSphere, and integrate solutions with Windows and Linux environments.
• Perform file-based migrations with Robocopy and Rsync while following change processes that minimize risk and downtime.
• Monitor and troubleshoot hardware failures, performance bottlenecks, capacity issues, alerts, recovery processes, firmware, patches, plugins, and SAN management tools.
• Develop provisioning and Infrastructure as a Service scripts, provide final-level support, collaborate with vendors, IT teams, and developers, maintain technical documentation, report storage metrics, and transfer knowledge through training.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience with enterprise storage systems in large-scale, mission-critical IT environments.
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and the ability to obtain and maintain a CI Polygraph.
• Basic Windows Server storage experience with NTFS security, ACLs, VSS snapshots, DFS, and POSIX.
• Experience with enterprise storage arrays, SAN/NAS, Fibre Channel, iSCSI, RAID, replication, snapshots, multipathing, virtualization storage, and data-reduction technologies.
• Experience with Windows and Linux storage integration, storage access controls, and related protocols.
• Ability to follow rigorous change-management processes in production environments.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Certifications from major storage vendors, including DellEMC, Hitachi, EverPure, Cohesity, or other advanced mainstream storage certifications.
• Experience with Pure Storage, NetApp, Cohesity, object storage such as S3, or related tools.
